In case you missed it on Sega’s Facebook, here’s the new teaser for the 20th Anniversary Sonic game. And lovely it is too. Of course, it tells you absolutely nothing about the game to come – and Sega haven’t released any press to go with their little vid. But I’m loving the old Sega intro, the subtle level-design features straight out of the Megadrive, and ooh… Sonic’s styling is looking classic too. I’m going to take all this to mean that Sega are consciously going old school with their next outing – which, hopefully, translates to “good”.
Dare we dream?
Too… scared… to be… optimistic…
At least aiming for the original Sonic look may mean the original Sonic style of gameplay, really getting back to the series roots having learned their lessons and getting the series back on track.
Ha ha, only kidding!
These are dark days when we can’t even risk vetting excited about sonic OR streetfighter releases. The whole thing’s going to hell in a handcart
